Hinduism Origins/Founders
Hinduism is the largest religion in India. India is shaped like a diamond and is isolated having two sides face the sea and the north facing the Himalaya Mountains. The climate is hot and dry except in the mountains. Some people say that the climate is part of the religious influence. The climate has influenced minimal materials, for example the clothing, housing, and wealth. India has many rivers and streams. The Ganges is the most important river because it is very dependable and has helped Indian culture grow and flourish. The Ganges or Ganga Ma (“Mother Ganges”) River provides Indian culture with the sense of security, protection, and care. Religious life in India is like the Ganges River. It has been around for thousands of years and Hinduism has a part of the flowing of energy. Hinduism has no founder, no strong organizational structure, and no creed to define its beliefs. Hinduism is more like a family on beliefs then a unified religion. Hinduism first started with the Harappa culture before 2000BCE. It is the Ancient culture in the Indus River valley.
