Aztec Women
Aztec women where almost equal to men in their society, one that that was very important to them was that they received paid work just like the men of the society. They had a number os jobs such as a doctor, priest, or a sorcerer, but predominantly they were recognized in their communities as professional weavers.
Once the Aztec saw interest in military culture it lessons the work for women in that it felt making men more dominant. Aztec marriages were sought from the parents of the potential groom, after the parents would consult a "match maker" called a ah atanzah who would then tell the brides family, the parent of the bride would advice the match maker if they accepted the proposal.
After the wedding would take place in a period of four days. Once it was time to bear a child they bride would be joined by a midwife whom would pray over her to a goddess Tlazolteol to ease the pain of the child birth, also a sedative drink would be made consisting of herbs and grass and given to the women in labor. Umbilical cords were preserved.
